Ive decided to put my (half-existing) book of shadows online. For those of you who i lost at the title, a book of shadows is like a magickal journal. Where you write down (obviously) a copy of the Rede and some correspondences and stuff, then you add in any spells you have done and how they worked out... like for example, i think ill put a rain spell up first, to give you an idea.

To Cease Rain
Careful, mother nature doesnt often like to change her mind. Ok for any spell you must have the NEED, or desire for it to manifest, a REPRESENTATION of what you want or what you would like to change (in this case well just use objects corresponding to rain and water)and finally you need to involve the GOD and/or GODDESS (some spells need only one, some both, some ask specific god/esses ex/Odin- norse god who was first given the runes)
In This case, our need is the need for a day of sunshine, our representation is two twigs and some salt (really simple people) and we'll just involve spirit as a whole.
Alright, youve got your stuff, now what to do with it? Find a spot outside where you or anything you put on the ground won't be disturbed. This is not a long complicated spell where you need to cast a circle, invoke a specific god, call the corners, or even draw down the moon. Just put the twigs on the ground in the form of a cross, visualizing a bright sunny day, and sprinkle the salt overtop. Now ask spirit for a day of sunshine. Something along the lines of "Spirit, it has rained all week. The thirst of your earth has been quenched for now. Please allow a day on sunshine for my group to be able to make camp on the earth, and experience your awesome beauty. As I will it, so mote it be."

The Wiccan Rede
Bide the Wiccan Laws we must
In Perfect Love and Perfect Trust.
Live and let live,
Fairly take and fairly give.
Cast the Circle thrice about
To keep the evil spirits out.
To bind the spell every time
Let the spell be spake in rhyme.
Soft of eye and light of touch,
Speak little, listen much.
Deosil go by the waxing moon,
Chanting out the Witches' Rune.
Widdershins go by the waning moon,
Chanting out the baneful rune.
When the Lady's moon is new,
Kiss the hand to her, times two.
When the moon rides at her peak,
Then your heart's desire seek.
Heed the North wind's mighty gale,
Lock the door and drop the sail.
When the wind comes from the South,
Love will kiss thee on the mouth.
When the wind blows from the West,
Departed souls will have no rest.
When the wind blows from the East,
Expect the new and set the feast.
Nine woods in the cauldron go,
Burn them fast and burn them slow.
Elder be the Lady's tree,
Burn it not or cursed you'll be.
When the Wheel begins to turn,
Let the Beltane fires burn.
When the Wheel has turned to Yule,
Light the log and the Horned One rules.
Heed ye Flower, Bush and Tree,
By the Lady, blessed be.
Where the rippling waters go,
Cast a stone and truth you'll know.
When ye have a true need,
Hearken not to others' greed.
With a fool no season spend,
Lest ye be counted as his friend.
Merry meet and merry part,
Bright the cheeks and warm the heart.
Mind the Threefold Law you should,
Three times bad and three times good.
When misfortune is enow,
Wear the blue star on thy brow.
True in Love ever be,
Lest thy lover's false to thee.
Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill:
And ye harm none, do what ye will.
